Tochangethebattery，thelowerTron40Sassemblyisreplacedwithanewone.ThebatterymoduleconsistsofthecompletelowerhalfoftheTron40GPSandistobereplacedevery5.year.Themarkingonthebatterymoduleshowtheexpirydate.AnewbatterycomescompleteandiseasilyreplacedbyopeningtheequatorringbetweenthetopandbottomoftheEPIRB.ThebatterymustbereplacediftheEPIRBisactivatedforanypurposeotherthantest.
Replacingthebatterymoduleshouldbedonebyskilledtechniciansonly-preferablebyaJOTRONagent.YourclosestJOTRONagentwithTronSTATfacilitieshasbeenspeciallytrainedtoperformthenecessaryoperationandisalsoabletodoanextendedtestoftheEPIRB，ensuringthattheEPIRBoperateswithinthespecifications.
1. RemovetheEPIRBfromitsbracket.
2. Removetheequatorringbypressingitoutfromthehousing.
3. SeparatethetwohalvesoftheEPIRBhousing.
4. Unplugthe6pinconnectorthatcomesfromthelowerEPIRBhousing.
5. Controlthatthenewbatterymoduleismarkedwithp/n97780andhasanewexpi
rationdateapproximately5yearsfrompurchase.
6. Fitanewgasketontopofthebatterymoduleandreconnectthe6pinconnector，be
surethattheconnectorisfittedproperly.Anoticeable?click?shouldbeheard
whentheconnectorisinplace.
7. Pleasemakesurethattheenclosedsilicagelbagisfastenedinsidetheemergency
product，withthesuppliedstripsinto/betweenholesintheblackcover.
IMPORTANT:CutthestripsX-96898aftermountingofsilicageltoavoidthestrips
tocomebetweenrubbergasketandtophousing.
8. Pleasealsofittheenclosedanticorrosionadhesivetapetotheinsidethebattery
beforeassemblyoftheunit.
9. OrientatethetwohalvesoftheEPIRBthefollowingway:
AnorientationtabisfittedonbothhalvesoftheEPIRB，Thesetabsmustbeplaced
carefullyontopofeachother.
10.Makesurethatthegasketisproperlyinplace，andreplacetheequatorringusing
aspecialtooltotightenittogether.
11.ReplacetheU-shapedboltandanewsplitpintosecuretheboltintheequator
ring.
12.RemountEPIRBinitsbracket.

產(chǎn)品性能：TRON40S應(yīng)急示位標(biāo)水密性：Tron40S在***少10米水深保持水密；
浮水性：Tron40S能浮水；
堅(jiān)固、穩(wěn)定：Tron40S能從30米高處跌入水中而不致?lián)p壞。他能抵受海水、油水和陽(yáng)光的影響；
操作：Tron40S操作容易，設(shè)備表面印有簡(jiǎn)單的操作說(shuō)明，附有一條20米的系索，可系在救生筏上。
指示燈：Tron40S設(shè)有一LED（發(fā)光二極管）閃燈，顯示設(shè)備在功過(guò)狀態(tài)，設(shè)備啟動(dòng)后，LED即可每分20次的頻率閃亮。
電池單元：電池單元構(gòu)成Tron40S的整個(gè)下半部，應(yīng)每4年更換，電池單元上標(biāo)有失效日期。新的電池單元交付時(shí)已經(jīng)完備，更換時(shí)只須打開(kāi)上下半部之間的腰環(huán)。
水壓?jiǎn)卧篎B4型的自動(dòng)漂浮支架上的水壓?jiǎn)卧仨毭績(jī)赡旮鼡Q，失效日期標(biāo)在水壓?jiǎn)卧?，更換的單元備有新的螺栓和安裝件。
帶有頻閃燈確認(rèn)的6種狀態(tài)自檢，可船上維修和編程，MED/FCC認(rèn)可。
